I’m Megan, the owner of Fur Rebel located in Jersey County, IL. I’m passionate about providing a calm, personalized, fear free and stress-free grooming experience for pets in my hometown and the surrounding area.

My Journey

Before starting Fur Rebel, I had been grooming my own pets and family pets for years. But it was my experience with a rescued dog—who was terrified of everything—that truly sparked my passion for working with fearful and anxious dogs. Through patience and understanding, I was able to turn grooming into a positive experience for her—and that’s when I realized this was my calling.

The name "Fur Rebel" came from a childhood dog. It's about embracing each pet's individuality and creating space where they feel comfortable and loved.

My goal is to turn a stressful task into a soothing ritual, where your pet feels pampered and relaxed -just like they deserve. I'm fear free certified, Pet CPR & first aid certified, licensed, & insured. I am always doing continuing education.

Megan did such an amazing job with Bear! She was so patient with him and worked at his pace. He felt so comfortable he started to doze as she was trimming him! I would recommend her to everyone!

We had a GREAT experience! My girl was long and messy and matted. Megan did an amazing job on her and it was such a great experience being in my home.
